| Sometimes,
for various reasons, a loft isn't quite right for a purchaser. Perhaps
they're just not ready for open concept living, or maybe they're looking
for something less expensive, better located, in a more traditional
condo building with all the amenities, but they still want something
with some style and interesting features. Or, as is the case in the
present market, there just aren't enough loft listings to choose from.
There
are some condo buildings that offer alternatives, such as ceilings
that are 9 or 10+ feet high (especially with the conversion of an
office building), larger windows, semi-open concept layouts, hardwood
floors, etc. You can consider taking out a wall to open up a kitchen
with an island or a breakfast bar, or take out that ugly carpeting
and put in hardwood, or even have the concrete floors finished to
mimic a real loft.
The
following buildings offer alternatives to the average, boring condo.
